Lourdes rebounded from its first setback of the year with a convincing 95-55 victory over the University of Michigan-Dearborn on Saturday afternoon inside the Russell J. Ebeid Recreation Center.

Lourdes shot 51.5% from the floor, including 13-of-31 (41.9%) from three-point range, on the afternoon.

"The guys responded to the loss against Concordia," head coach
Dennis Hopson said afterwards. "I was happy we shot the ball well, but I'd still like to get a few more points in the paint. The new guys and the veterans are still trying to figure each other out."

The Gray Wolves started fast, jumping out to a 23-6 lead just over eight minutes into the game. The lead swelled to 23, 36-13, after a
Nic Borojevich (Swanton, Ohio/Swanton H.S.) triple with 5:30 to play before halftime as Lourdes eventually took a 45-24 lead into the locker room. Lourdes held the Wolverines to just 28.1% shooting in the opening 20 minutes.

A 27-8 run early in the second half allowed Lourdes to pull away, as the Gray Wolves pushed the lead to 40, 77-37. The hosts would lead by as many as 46, 95-49, in the second half.

Little Anderson (Toledo, Ohio/Cardinal Stritch H.S.) led Lourdes with 21 points while
Joey Holifield (Toledo, Ohio/Cardinal Stritch H.S.) added 13 more.Â
Jackie Harris (Toledo, Ohio/Saint Francis de Sales H.S.) registered a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds as Lourdes outboarded the Wolverines 46-39. Borojevich tallied 11 points and
Stephen Coleman Jr. (Toledo, Ohio/Hillcrest Prep H.S.) chipped in 10 more.

Elwood Tomlinson led Michigan-Dearborn (1-6, 0-2 WHAC) with 13 points while Andrew Leamy added 10 more. The Wolverines shot just 32.8% from the floor for the game, including 4-of-24 (16.7%) from three-point range. Michigan-Dearborn was also just 7-of-15 (46.7%) from the free throw line.

Lourdes (3-1, 1-1) will play its next five games away from home, beginning on Wednesday evening with a trip to Adrian, Mich. to face Siena Heights. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m. inside the SHU Fieldhouse.
