Final Results
Lourdes opened up the home slate, the dual match portion of its schedule, as well as Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference action, on Tuesday evening with a 51-0 shutout of Cleary inside the Russell J. Ebeid Recreation Center.
"This was a great home win for us tonight," head coach
Dock Kelly III said afterwards. "I am thrilled with the way the guys wrestled tonight. They responded well with such a short recovery time."
Freshman
Cole McKinley (Sylvania, Ohio/Northview H.S.) began the action building an 8-3 lead after the opening period at 133 pounds. He then notched his team-leading fourth fall of the season at the 3:52 mark in the second stanza to earn the victory.
Classmate
Landon Engle (Celina, Ohio/Celina H.S.) followed with a pin of his own at 141 pounds midway through the opening period at the 1:23 mark for his third fall of the young campaign.
Noah Clary (Upper Sandusky, Ohio/Upper Sandusky H.S.) made it three pins for the Gray Wolves with his fall at the 2:18 mark of the first period.
The final contested match of the day was the closest. At 285 pounds,
Joe Dreisbach (White Lake, Mich./Walled Lake Northern H.S.) had to rally to earn a 2-1 decision. Trailing 1-0 after one, he evened the match heading into the third period. On top, he rode his opponent, John Keers, out for the entire third period to earn the deciding riding point, giving him the victory.

Hunter Yackee (Wauseon,Ohio/Wauseon H.S.) (149),
Tommy Mabry (St. Mary's, Ohio/Memorial H.S.) (165),
William Speight (Bedford, Ohio/Bedford H.S.) (184), and
Carter Kroll (Ontario, Ohio/Ontario H.S.) (197) were all credited with victories via forfeit.
"We are going to take a day off to recover and then turn our full attention to Cornerstone to be ready for next week," Kelly concluded.
Lourdes (1-0, 1-0 WHAC) returns to action on Wednesday, Nov. 16, as the Gray Wolves travel to Grand Rapids, Mich. to battle Cornerstone. The opening bout is set for 6:30 p.m. inside of Mol Arena.
