Lourdes fell behind early on Wednesday evening and was never able to recover as the Gray Wolves dropped a 79-42 decision to Siena Heights inside the SHU Fieldhouse in Adrian, Mich.

The Saints held Lourdes to just 12 first half points on the way to building a 29-point lead at the half. The Gray Wolves shot just 22.7% in the opening 20 minutes and the Saints oustscored Lourdes 26-6 in the second period, using a 22-2 run to break the game open.

The Gray Wolves hung even with the Saints in the third quarter before the hosts made one final run in the fourth.

Mercedes Wagner (Sherwood, Ohio/Fairview H.S.) led Lourdes with 10 points while
Alex Wolfe (Toledo, Ohio/Notre Dame Academy) added nine more. The Gray Wolves shot 31% for the day, making just 4-of-24 (16.7%) from three-point range while committing 16 turnovers.

Peyton Banks paced Siena Heights (22-7, 14-5 WHAC) with 17 points while Sha'kia Parker added 16 more. The Saints hit 11 three-pointers on the night while shooting 45.5% overall. Siena Heights outrebounded Lourdes 44-33.

Lourdes (10-19, 3-16) closes out the 2021-2022 season on Saturday afternoon, traveling to Grand Rapids, Mich. to face Cornerstone. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m. inside of Mol Arena.
