Lourdes swept a doubleheader from Blue Mountain on Friday afternoon with a 7-1 and 5-2 victory over the Toppers to take the season series at BMC Sportsplex in Blue Mountain, Miss.

"We had energy all day," head coach
Josh Bradford said afterwards. "We got tow really good starts from Caleb and Jake and played great defense all day. Offensively, we did a great job of executing our team approach."

Caleb Loboschefski (Maumee, Ohio/Maumee H.S.) went five strong innings in the opener, allowing just one run and six hits while striking out five to earn the win.

Lourdes jumped in front with three runs in both the second and third innings before adding a single run in the fourth.Â
Brad Ammons (Holland, Ohio/Springfield H.S.) and
Harrison Jackson (Millbury, Ohio/Lake H.S.) both had two hits and drove in two runs during the stretch while
Ryan Jagodzinski (Perrysburg, Ohio/Rossford H.S.) also had two hits and scored three times.

Blue Mountain scored its lone run in the fifth inning of game one.

In the nightcap,
Josh Hare (Simcoe, Ont./Holy Trinity H.S.) had a two-run double in the first before the Gray Wolves plated three more runs in the third. Blue Mountain (12-10) scored two runs in the seventh, but could not complete the rally.

Jake Boyd (West Jefferson, Ohio/West Jefferson H.S.) scattered just three hits in five innings without allowing a run to earn the win on the hill.

Lourdes (11-5) remains on the road Wednesday afternoon as the Gray Wolves travel to Portsmouth, Ohio to battle Shawnee State. First pitch is set for 1 p.m. at Branch Ricky Park.
