Upcoming in Gray Wolves Lacrosse: After opening WHAC play with a victory on Saturday, Lourdes returns to the field for a pair of contests this week. The Gray Wolves entertain Bethel (Ind.) in a Wednesday matinee before heading across the border to face Siena Heights on Saturday afternoon.
Head Coach Sierra Wagoner: In her second season on the Lourdes sidelines,
Sierra Wagoner has a 1-8 (.111) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves and as a collegiate head coach. Wagoner is the fourth head coach in the program's history.
Series Notes: Lourdes holds a 2-1 series edge against Bethel (Ind. dating back to March 15, 2018. The Pilots won last season's meeting in Mishawaka, Ind. 22-0 on April 12, 2021. The Gray Wolves won the only previous meeting at Wildcat Stadium in 2018. Siena Heights is 11-1 all-time against Lourdes in a series that began March 18, 2014. The Saints have won six straight meetings between the two schools after a 23-0 win at Wildcat Stadium last season. Siena Heights is 7-1 against Lourdes all-time in Adrian, Mich.
Wrapping Up Last Week: The Gray Wolves jumped out to an 8-1 lead midway through the second quarter on the way to a 16-4 triumph over Cleary on Saturday evening in the WHAC opener.

Jordin Rawski all scored three times for Lourdes as the Gray Wolves outshot the Cougars 32-8 on the evening.
Scouting Bethel (Ind.): The Pilots dropped their WHAC opener on Saturday at home against Aquinas 18-8. Jenna Crockett leads Bethel with 36 points having scored 15 times while handing out 21 assists. Hope Van Proyen has tallied a team-high 21 goals, has 20 ground balls, and 34 draw controls while Becca Broadwich has 13 goals and eight assists. In goal, Samantha Swope sports a 13.25 goals against average and a .361 save percentage.
Scouting Siena Heights: The Saints enter the week having won back-to-back games after downing Indiana Tech 16-11 on the road Saturday. Siena Heights heads to Concordia (Mich.) on Wednesday before entertaining Lourdes. Marissa Cirino has scored a team-high 13 goals and added five assists for the Saints while Madison Spell has 11 goals, five helpers, 10 ground balls, and 28 draw controls. Emily Pringle has also scored 11 times. In goal, Lucy Stedam has played every minute, sporting a 17.80 goals against average and a .346 save percentage.
It Had Been Awhile: The Gray Wolf win over Cleary was Lourdes first triumph since at 15-9 victory at Cleary on April 15, 2019, snapping an 11-game losing streak. It was also Lourdes first home win since April 3, 2019 versus Aquinas.
Rawski Earns WHAC Honor: Jordin Rawski was named the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Defender of the Week after registering four ground balls, had two caused turnovers, and scored three times in the win over Cleary. The freshman is the first Gray Wolf since
Jacque Pappadakes on April 8, 2019 to earn league accolades.
Winning Draws: Lourdes has won 37 of the 48 draws controls this season after winning just 25 the entire 2021 campaign.
Amelia McCourt had 12 draw controls on Saturday against Cleary, setting a new single game record for the Gray Wolves. The previous mark of 11 was set by Molly Porterfield on April 7, 2014 against Aquinas.
Freshmen Lead the Offense: The rookie trio of
Amelia McCourt,
Jordin Rawski, and
Sarah Przyojski have paced the Lourdes offense through the first two games of the season. McCourt has found the back of the cage seven times while handing out three assists for 10 total points. Rawski has tallied five goals and six points while Przyojski has scored three times and is third on the squad with four points.
Stepping Up on Defense: Emiliana Taylor and
Lexi Hunt have led Lourdes on the back line this year. Taylor has seven ground balls, giving her 50 for her career. She is five shy of moving into the top-10 all-time at Lourdes in ground balls. Taylor, along with Hunt, have both caused a team-high four turnovers as well this year.
First Collegiate Goals: Sarah Przyojski,
Anastasia Weekley,
Kayla Dillinger, and
Sydney Duran all scored for the first time as a Gray Wolf against Cleary.

Sarah Przyojski are serving as the team captains for Lourdes during the 2022 season.
This and That: Following the Bethel (Ind.) game, Lourdes will be halfway through its home schedule already ... the Gray Wolves are outshooting their opponents 56-30 on the year ... Lourdes has not won back-to-back games since downing Bethel (Ind.) and Cleary in succession April 13 and 15, 2019 ... eight of the 13 Gray Wolves to take the field this season have scored.
