Josh Hare's (Simcoe, Ont./Holy Trinity H.S.) walk-off double in the bottom of the seventh of game one gave Lourdes an 8-7 victory on Tuesday afternoon at Mercy Field before Michigan-Dearborn won game two 3-1 as the two schools split a doubleheader.

With two outs in the seventh and the game tied at seven,
Steve Haugh (Waterville, Ohio/Anthony Wayne H.S.) drew a walk and
Thad Niziolek (Holland, Mich./West Ottawa H.S.) pinch ran. Hare the doubled off the left-center field wall, scoring Niziolek with the game-winning run.

Michigan-Dearborn took the early lead with a two-out single in the opening inning that plated two runs before the Gray Wolves immediately answered. Haugh ripped a two-run double in the bottom of the frame to plate two, tying the game, and scored himself two batters later as
Brad Ammons' (Holland, Ohio/Springfield H.S.) lifted a sacrifice fly to center.

Lourdes added three more runs in the second.Â
Caleb Dugan (Lima, Ohio/Lima Senior H.S.) singled home two and scored himself on a two-out hit by Haugh. After the Wolverines plated one in the top of the third,
Matt McEachern's (Burlington, Ont./Hayden Secondary) registered a sacrifice fly of his own to give the Gray Wolves a 7-3 lead.

The Wolverines tied the game in the top of the fourth, scoring four runs, including two with two outs. Neither team would score again until the seventh when the Gray Wolves were able pull out the victory.

Dugan and Haugh each had two hits in the opener as Lourdes tallied nine for the game.Â

Austin Ford (Chesterfield, Mich./Anchor Bay H.S.) tossed two scoreless innings in relief to earn the win (3-0).

In game two, Michigan-Dearborn (6-18, 2-9 WHAC) tallied runs in each of the first two to take the early lead. The Gray Wolves finally broke through on the scoreboard in the fifth.Â
Harrison Jackson (Millbury, Ohio/Lake H.S.) tripled with two outs and scored one batter later on
Caelan Cuningham's (Port Dover, Ont./Holy Trinity Catholic H.S.) RBI single.

The Wolverines added an insurance run immediately with a two-out hit in the sixth, and that would conclude the scoring.

Bryn Biemiller (Newmarket, Ont./Bill Crothers Secondary) allowed just the three runs on five hits in six innings but suffered the loss (0-2) before
Anderson Strunk (New Baltimore, Mich./Algonac H.S.) worked three innings of scoreless relief.

Lourdes managed just four hits in the game against Garrett Davis, who earned the win (1-3) in a complete game effort.

Lourdes (21-13, 6-6) continues its homestand on Friday afternoon as the Gray Wolves host Cleary. First pitch in game one of the doubleheader is set for 1 p.m. at Mercy Field.
