On a day in which both offenses hit the ball well, Indiana Tech won a pair of games from Lourdes on Sunday, defeating the Gray Wolves 9-8 and 21-15 at Warrior Baseball Field in Fort Wayne, Ind.

The Gray Wolves hit three home runs in the opener, beginning with a
Steve Haugh (Whitehouse, Ohio/Anthony Wayne H.S.) blast in the opening inning. After Indiana Tech tied the game in the bottom of the inning, Lourdes scored three times in the second, including a two-run single by Haugh.

Indiana Tech pulled to within one in the bottom of the second before
Matt McEachern (Burlington, Ont./Hayden Secondary) hit a two-run homer in the third to increase the advantage to three, 6-3.

The Warriors took the lead with four runs in the fourth and added a tally in the sixth to build an 8-6 advantage.Â
Harrison Jackson (Millbury, Ohio/Lake H.S.) began a seventh inning rally with a home run and
Brad Ammons (Holland, Ohio/Springfield H.S.) tied the game with a RBI single. Indiana Tech won the game in the bottom of the seventh though with a walk-off double.

Jackson had three of the Gray Wolves' 11 hits in the opener.

Lourdes hit four more home runs in game two but Indiana Tech (27-18, 13-7 WHAC) scored in every inning but one to earn the victory.

Josh Hare (Simcoe, Ont./Holy Trinity H.S.) hit a three-run blast in the second to give the Gray Wolves a 4-2 lead, only to see the Warriors score four times in the bottom of the frame.  Indiana Tech extended the lead to 12-5 after four innings before Jackson's second home run of the day started a four-run fifth for Lourdes. Ammons added a two-run blast to pull the Gray Wolves to within three.Â

Indiana Tech answered with four in the bottom of the fifth and held a 16-9 lead heading into a weather delay in the middle of the sixth before coming out of the break and scoring runs in each of their next two at bats to build a nine-run advantage.

Gabe Scott (Curtis, Ohio/Genoa H.S.) and
Joey Oehlers (Lambertville, Mich./Bedford H.S.) both hit two-run home runs in the eighth as part of a five-run inning to pull the Gray Wolves within four, only to see the Warriors respond again with three more runs in the bottom of the inning.

Seven Gray Wolves had two-hit games as part of a 15-hit attack in game two. Hare drove in four while scoring three times.

Lourdes (23-21, 8-12) plays its final non-conference game on Tuesday afternoon, traveling to Circleville, Ohio to face Ohio Christian. First pitch at Olson Field is set for 2 p.m.
