Lourdes recorded its third shutout of the season on Saturday afternoon as the Gray Wolves defeated Rochester (Mich.) 2-0 at Michigan Stars Sports Center in Washington Township, Mich.

With the win, the Gray Wolves returned to the .500 mark (2-2-1) in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play.

Lourdes finished the match with a 22-10 shot advantage as
Alex Brock (Sylvania, Ohio/Southview H.S.) made six saves in net for his third clean sheet of the year for the Gray Wolves.

The Gray Wolves jumped in front midway through the opening half as
Martin Coronel (Asuncion, Paraguay/San Jose) sent a pass to
Diego Pereira (Asuncion, Paraguay/Cristo Rey H.S.) on the left side of the penalty area. Pereira sent a curling shot into the far corner of the net for his first goal of the season and 10
th of his career, moving him into a tie for seventh on Lourdes' career goal-scoring list.

Lourdes maintained the 1-0 lead into the second half when
Federico Reali (Ceprano, Italy/Liceo Sulpicio) sent a cross to
Austin Gibbons (Toledo, Ohio/Whitmer H.S.), who headed the ball over the Warrior netminder to the far post for his first collegiate goal.

Rochester (2-6-2, 0-4-1 WHAC) goalkeeper Kris Tauzik made six saves in net to keep the match close. Lourdes finished with a 10-2 edge in corner kick opportunities as well.

Lourdes (2-5-4, 2-2-1) closes out its three-match road trip on Wednesday evening as the Gray Wolves travel to Fort Wayne, Ind. to face Indiana Tech. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Warrior Athletic Field.
