All 13 players that dressed for Lourdes on Monday evening found the scoring column as the Gray Wolves headed into the holiday break with an 82-32 victory over Defiance inside the Karl H. Weaner Center in Defiance, Ohio.

"Working with Defiance has been a joint effort and everyone was exceptional in hosting us as an organization joining the league," head coach
Tandy Bradford said afterwards. "I'm proud of our team for setting some very specific team goals and achieving those with every member. We are certainly appreciative of all the families driving out and helping the team today and wish everyone a happy holiday."

Emma Pedroza (Napoleon, Ohio/Napoleon H.S.) had a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds while
Halle Barnett (Sylvania, Ohio/Southview H.S.) added 10 points for the Gray Wolves.

Lourdes jumped out to a 12-2 lead less than four minutes into the game and never looked back on the way to earning the non-conference victory. The lead grew to 13, 20-7, after the opening period and the Gray Wolves closed the half on an 18-3 run to build a 40-13 advantage at halftime. The Gray Wolves extended the advantage to 62-24 after three periods and led by as many as 51 points in the fourth quarter.

The Gray Wolves shot 48.6% from the floor on the night while holding Defiance to just a 19.7% shooting clip. The Yellow Jackets turned the ball over 26 times in the game, 22 of which came via Lourdes steals.

Zadria King led Defiance (0-9) with 11 points.

Lourdes (4-7) will be idle until Dec. 30 when the Gray Wolves return to the hardwood with an exhibition game against Findlay. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m. inside of Croy Gymnasium in Findlay, Ohio.
