After a 12-day layoff, Lourdes returned to the hardwood for the final time in the calendar year on Saturday afternoon, dropping an 86-53 decision to Findlay in exhibition action inside Croy Physical Education Center in Findlay, Ohio.

Shae Pedroza (Napoleon, Ohio/Napoleon H.S.) led the Gray Wolves with 17 points, making 7-of-13 shots from the floor, while
Taylor Thomas (Marshallville, Ohio/Chippewa H.S.) added 14 points off the bench, draining 4-of-5 three-point attempts.

Lourdes took an early 7-2 lead just over two minutes into the game but a 9-0 run later in the period allowed the Oilers to take the lead for good and the hosts closed the quarter scoring the final seven points to build a 24-15 advantage after 10 minutes.

Findlay, a NCAA Division II school, scored the first 11 points of the second period to extend the run to 18-0, pushing the lead to 20 before taking a 41-24 lead into the locker room.

The Oilers scored the first seven points of the third quarter and Lourdes was not able to cut the deficit under 20 the remainder of the second half.

Kate Ellis led five Oilers in double figures with 15 points while MacKenzie Schulz added 13 more points for Findlay (5-6). The Oilers shot 47.8% from the floor including 40% (12-of-30) from three-point range. Lourdes was held to a 34.4% clip from the field, and just 7-of-26 (26.9%) from beyond the arc.

Lourdes (4-7) returns to regular season play on Wednesday evening as the Gray Wolves open a three-game homestand entertaining Lawrence Tech. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m. inside the Russell J. Ebeid Recreation Center.
