Game Recap: Women's Lacrosse |

Lourdes Cruises to Second Straight Victory

Lourdes matched its school record for goals in a game on Wednesday, as the Gray Wolves downed Truett McConnell 23-3 at the TMU Lacrosse Complex in Cleveland, Ga.

The Gray Wolves matched the output from March 15, 2018 when Lourdes defeated Bethel (Ind.) 23-3.

"Today was another turnout for our offense," head coach Sierra Wagoner said afterwards.  "Multiple players were able to put the ball in the back of the net.  It excites me to see the progression of this team and become so versatile in our offensive game.  The first half was dominant with a shutout.  I was super pleased with how our young defense and goalie performed today."

Amelia McCourt (Bloomfield Hills, Mich./Bloomfield Hills H.S.) scored eight times while Sarah Przyojski (Temperance, Mich./Bedford H.S.) added five more.  Jordin Rawski (Toledo, Ohio/Southview H.S.) had four goals while Joelle Rawski (Toledo, Ohio/Southview H.S.) found the back of the cage three times.

Kylie Turner (Ridgeway, Ohio/Ridgeway H.S.), Neveah Sheeter (Lima, Ohio/Senior H.S.), and Kayla Dillinger (Sidney, Ohio/Sidney H.S.) each found the back of the net as well.

Lourdes scored 10 times in the opening quarter and had built a 16-0 lead by halftime.

Jordin Rawski picked up a team-high 10 ground balls and seven draw controls while Przyojski had nine more ground balls.  McCourt also had six draw controls.  In goal, Danielle Jackson (Fenton, Mich./Lake Fenton H.S.) made a pair of saves.

Lourdes (2-0) returns to action on March 18 as the Gray Wolves open Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play at Lawrence Tech.  The opening draw is set for 1 p.m. at Blue Devils Stadium.
