Lourdes Drops Final Non-Conference Match at Taylor

Lourdes concluded its non-conference slate on Tuesday evening, dropping a 3-0 decision to Taylor at Turner Stadium in Upland, Ind.
 
The Trojans scored twice in the first half to take the lead and added an insurance tally in the final 45 minutes, outshooting the Gray Wolves 11-7 for the night. 
 
Bryce Lawrence put Taylor (3-5) in front in the 22nd minute while Justin Devlin added a goal less than seven minutes later.  Brock Carpenter tallied the Trojans third goal with 30 minutes to play.
 
Yianni Kanellopoulos (Northville, Mich./Northville H.S.) made two saves in net for the Gray Wolves while Sam Spiegel made two stops in net for Taylor.
 
Lourdes (0-3-3) will open Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play on Saturday afternoon, traveling to Grand Rapids, Mich. to face Cornerstone.  The opening kickoff is set for 4:30 p.m. at the Soccer Stadium.
