A 15-2 run down the stretch allowed 10
th-ranked Lourdes to break a deadlock with Siena Heights on Wednesday evening on the way to a 71-61 victory over the Saints inside SHU Fieldhouse in Adrian, Mich.

With the game tied at 54 with under six minutes to play, the Gray Wolves scored the next seven points to start the run, allowing Lourdes to build a 13-point lead heading into the final minute and secure the win to remain atop the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference standings.

The game had six ties and 10 lead changes, the majority coming in the first half, as neither team led by more than four points in the opening 20 minutes. Lourdes scored the final four points of the opening stanza to take a 39-35 lead into the locker room.

The lead continued to go back-and-forth until the Gray Wolves were able to put together the big run to create separation.Â
Shaunn Monroe (Charleston, W. Va./Fairborn [Ohio] H.S.) scored seven of his game-high 24 point during the run, finishing the game in double figures for the 17
th consecutive time to start the season.

Ethan Damerum (Cressage, England/Chornwood Riders H.S.) added 12 points off the bench as the Gray Wolves had just two double figure scorers on the night.

Delano Williams led four Siena Heights (8-11, 5-8 WHAC) scorers in double figures with 13 points.Â
