For the second straight day Lourdes dropped a match against a ranked opponent as the 14
th-ranked Gray Wolves fell to No. 13 Jamestown 25-21, 25-23, 25-23 at the Chicago Tournament inside of the Shannon Center in Chicago, Ill.

"We didn't execute at the level that it will take to beat a quality team," head coach
Greg Reitz said afterwards. "We need to steady out our play a bit to give ourselves more opportunities for success. We get another chance tomorrow before we leave Chicago."

Jabar Badarne (Arrabe, Israel/Hof Hasharon) led all players with 14 kills and hit .345 to pace the Gray Wolves while
Eduardo Ayala (Curitiba, Brazil/Colegio Dom Bosco) added 11 kills. Lourdes hit just .200 as a team for the afternoon.

Defensively,
Ben Palma (Dayton, Ohio/Wayne H.S.) registered four blocks for the Gray Wolves, including two solo rejections. Ayala and
Vinicius Lopes (Brusque, Brazil/Colegio Osvaldo Carvalho) each had a team-high seven digs.

The Gray Wolves fell behind 16-8 midway through the first set before battling back. Lourdes closed to within three, 21-18, but could not get any closer. Set two had nine ties but just two lead changes as the Jimmies took a 10-9 lead early and never allowed the Gray Wolves to retake an advantage down the stretch. Lourdes hit .371 in set two, but Jamestown was even better at .406. Lourdes never led late in the third set as well, as a 6-1 run by the Jimmies midway through stanza allowed Jamestown to complete the sweep.

Caydann Cox led Jamestown (2-0) with 13 kills while Sebastian Ignaczak tallied a match-high 11 digs.

Lourdes (0-2) will close out action in the Chicago Tournament on Saturday morning, heading to Elgin, Ill. to face fifth-ranked The Master's. The first serve is slated for 11 a.m. EST inside the Lindner Fitness Center on the campus of Judson.
