Lourdes used a 16-0 second half run to take the lead for good on Wednesday evening on the way to a 68-61 victory over Concordia (Mich.) inside Cardinal Fieldhouse in Ann Arbor, Mich.

Trailing 40-38 with nine minutes to play, the Gray Wolves held the Cardinals scoreless for nearly six minutes while going on the run and building a 14-point advantage. Concordia tried to battle back down the stretch, closing to within five with 11 seconds to play, but Lourdes was 8-for-8 from the free throw line in the final minute, and 13-of-15 for the game, to secure the win.

Lourdes never led by more than five in the first half until
Jackie Harris (Toledo, Ohio/St. Francis de Sales H.S.) hit a three-pointer as time expired to give the Gray Wolves a 30-24 lead at the break. Lourdes made a three to open the second half before Concordia scored 12 straight points to take the lead nearing the midway point in the half.

Harris finished with a double-double, scoring 25 points while grabbing 13 rebounds and
Joey Holifield (Toledo, Ohio/Cardinal Stritch H.S.) added 21 points for the Gray Wolves. The Cardinals forced 19 Lourdes turnovers in the game though.

Zavion McClendon led Concordia (5-16, 4-11 WHAC) with 22 points while Dylan Jergens added 12 points.

Lourdes (18-1, 14-1), which moved up to seventh in this week's NAIA top-25 poll, has now won eight straight games. The Gray Wolves return home on Saturday afternoon to host the University of Northwestern Ohio. Tip-off is set for 3 p.m. inside the Russell J Ebeid Recreation Center.
