Lourdes Dominates Siena Heights with a Flurry of Goals in 4-0 Win

The four goals mark the team's season best.

SYLVANIA, Ohio (LourdesAthletics.com) -- The Lourdes University men's soccer team enjoyed a flurry of goals in the 4-0 victory over the visiting Saints of Siena Heights University Wednesday afternoon at Wildcat Stadium.

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference victory improved the Gray Wolves league record to 4-1-1, good for fourth in the conference standings. Their overall record sits at 5-5-2 for the 2024 season.

Senior defender Eli Bride knocked in the game-winning goal, capitalizing on a Lourdes corner kick late in the first half. After Sebastian Bogarin's initial feed from the corner, rookie Jack Pelton redirected the ball to Bride, who wasted no time firing it home to kick off the goal-scoring frenzy.

The second half saw the Gray Wolves take a 2-0 lead less than five minutes in, as Martin Coronel scored his second goal of the season and the eighth of his Lourdes career. From there, Rolando Benitez found the back of the net with help from Bogarin for a 3-0 score over the visiting Saints.

Finally, with less than two minutes remaining, senior Julio Olmedo sent a pass to sophomore Joseph Slaske, who sealed the win with Lourdes' fourth and final goal of the match.
