ANN ARBOR, Mich. (LourdesAthletics.com) -- The Lourdes University women's volleyball team dropped a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference affair on the road at Concordia University Saturday afternoon, Oct. 12. The team fell in three straight sets to the host Cardinals. 

In the opening set, Lourdes kept it close, but the host Cardinals pulled away late to take a 25-21 win. The Gray Wolves fought hard in the second set, however the Cardinals kept in control to hold on for a 25-22 victory.

The third set was all Concordia, as they jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, finishing the match with a 25-12 win.

Lourdes was led by junior Jolie Sobb with 10 kills, while senior Maddie White and junior Emma Coffey shared the team-lead with 14 digs each. 

Other key contributors in the match included freshman Rania Pavlidi, who posted a team-leading 22 assists to go along with two service aces.

The Gray Wolves will return to action Wednesday, Oct. 16, as the team is scheduled to travel to Madonna University for a 7 pm meeting in Livonia, Mich.
