Men's Soccer Suffers 2-nil Setback at Concordia Ann Arbor

The conference loss sets the Gray Wolves' league record to 5-2-1

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (LourdesAthletics.com) -- The Lourdes University men's soccer team suffered a 2-nil setback on the road Wednesday afternoon at Concordia University-Ann Arbor.  

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference victory improved the Gray Wolves league record to 5-1-1, good for third in the conference standings. Their overall record sits at 6-5-2 for the 2024 season. 

The host Cardinals found the back of the net in the 73rd minute of action for a 1-0 lead, before drilling home the insurance goal in the 83rd.

In the goal for the Gray Wolves was senior Yianni Kanellopolous who faced six shots, earning four saves. 0.

Lourdes will return to action Saturday, Oct. 19, as the Gray Wolves travel to Grand Rapids, Mich., for a 3 pm meeting with the Saints of Aquinas College.
