BEAVERCREEK, Ohio (LourdesAthletics.com) -- The Lourdes University men's and women's bowling teams competed in the annual "Orange & Black Classic" hosted by the University of Pikeville in Beavercreek, Ohio at the Beaver-Vu Bowl lanes, Oct. 19-20.
The men placed 5th of 11 competing institutions with a total pin fall of 4,398. Lourdes finished one spot behind the Union Commonwealth University, which finished the day with a total of 4,648 pins for fourth. Claiming the top spot was the host Bears of UPike, who carded a 5,372 pin-fall score. In second was Wright State University with 4,756 and Vincennes University rounding out the top-three with 4,682 pins.
On the women's lanes, the Gray Wolves totaled 3,677 pins, for a seventh of 10 place finish, just one spot behind Tiffin University, who collected a team total of 3,682, just five pins more. The host Bears occupied the top spot, knocking down 4,853 total pins.
Individually, it was rookie
Reece Kramer leading the men's pack, once again. The freshman dropped 1,065 pins in five-games with a tournament average of 213 for third-place individually.
On the women's side, sophomore
Dezaray Mcle led the women's team, with a total individual score of 833. The Ohio native posted a tournament average of 166.6 in the five games bowled.
UP NEXT
The Gray Wolves return to the lanes Sunday, Oct. 27 as they travel to Canton, Mich., for the AHBA 2 held at the Sugar Bowl.
