Men's Basketball Falls at Indiana Tech

Perkins leads with 16

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (LourdesAthletics.com) -- The Lourdes University men's basketball team fell short on Saturday afternoon, dropping an 85-67 decision to Indiana Tech University at the Schaefer Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The Gray Wolves found themselves in an early hole, trailing 42-29 at halftime as the Warriors capitalized on efficient shooting and strong interior play. Despite a determined second-half push, Lourdes couldn't close the gap as Indiana Tech maintained control throughout the contest.

Kendall Perkins led Lourdes offensively, scoring 16 points on 7-of-10 shooting, including 2-for-2 from beyond the arc. Shaunn Monroe posted his sixth double-double of the season, tallying 15 points and 10 rebounds, while also adding five assists and two steals. Joey Holifield provided a boost off the bench, contributing 12 points and five rebounds in 22 minutes of action.

The Gray Wolves struggled from three-point range, shooting just 6-of-25 (24%), and were outscored 42-26 in the paint. Indiana Tech's offense proved efficient, shooting 53% from the floor and using its balanced attack to stay ahead. Lourdes managed to force 14 turnovers, converting them into 16 points, and received a solid 23-point contribution from its bench, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Warriors' sustained scoring runs.
