SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (LourdesAthletics.com) -- The Lourdes University men's basketball team dropped an 83-74 decision to Lawrence Technological University on Wednesday, December 4th, at the Don Ridler Fieldhouse in Southfield, Michigan. Despite a strong first-half performance, the Gray Wolves couldn't hold onto their lead in the second half, with Lawrence Tech outscoring them 40-28 after the break.

Lourdes came out strong, taking a 46-43 lead into halftime. The team shot 51.4% from the field in the opening period, led by senior guard Shaunn Monroe, who had 19 of his game-high 29 points in the first half. However, the Gray Wolves struggled in the second half, shooting just 26.7% from the field and 27.3% from three-point range. Lawrence Tech capitalized on Lourdes' cold shooting, pulling away for the win in the second half.

Shaunn Monroe finished the game with 29 points, adding six rebounds and four assists while going 10-of-22 from the field and 8-of-11 from the free-throw line. Fellow senior Kendall Perkins also had a strong performance, contributing 17 points and three rebounds. Prakash Ketterhagen was a key contributor as well, finishing with 11 points and eight rebounds.

Devyn Jones added seven points and five rebounds, while Derek Fairley chipped in with three points, two rebounds, and one assist. Off the bench, Paxton Payne provided three points and two rebounds, while Caden Kruse added two points and three rebounds.

Despite Lourdes' efforts, Lawrence Tech dominated the second half, taking control with a 40-point period, which was more than enough to secure the victory.
