Lourdes took the first two sets from Lawrence Tech on Friday night but the Blue Devils rallied to defeat the Gray Wolves 20-25, 19-25, 25-21, 25-15, 15-11 inside Ridler Fieldhouse in Southfield, Mich.
 
Eduardo Ayala (Curitiba, Brazil/Colegio Dom Bosco) led Lourdes with 18 kills while 
Tomas Olak (Rowville, Australia/Mazenod College) added 12 more.  
Reshawn Allen (Montgomery, Ill./Oswego H.S.) put down 10 kills while hitting a team-leading .389 for the night.
 
A 5-1 run in the opening set allowed the Gray Wolves to build a 17-12 lead and Lourdes never looked back in winning set one.  Lourdes hit .429 in the second and never trailed in the stanza while building the 2-0 lead in the match. 
 
Lawrence Tech scored the first four points of the third led wire-to-wire to extend the match.  In the fourth, the Blue Devils raced out to an 11-4 advantage to even the match and held Lourdes to just two kills in the fifth to complete the comeback.
 
Joey Bianco (Cincinnati, Ohio/Elder H.S.) handed out 47 assists while leading the Lourdes offense that hit .184 for the night.  Defensively, 
Ben Palma (Dayton, Ohio/Wayne H.S.) registered five blocks, all of the solo variety, while Ayala had a team-best seven digs.
 
Brendan Down led Lawrence Tech (5-1, 1-1 WHAC) with 14 kills as the Blue Devils hit .231 as a team for the match.  Gustavo Heidrich led all players with 12 digs for the Blue Devils.
 
Lourdes (1-7, 1-1) returns to action on Saturday afternoon as the Gray Wolves travel to Adrian, Mich. to battle Siena Heights.  The opening serve is set for noon inside SHU Fieldhouse.
