th-ranked Gray Wolves to a 25-12, 28-26, 25-18 sweep of Siena Heights on Senior Night inside the Russell J. Ebeid Recreation Center.
Ayala moved into third place on the Gray Wolves' career kills list with 1,004 after putting down a match-high 12 kills while hitting .550 on the night.
Reshawn Allen (Montgomery, Ill./Oswego H.S.) put down seven kills and hit .545 while
Ben Palma (Dayton, Ohio/Wayne H.S.) swung at a .750 clip with six kills on just eight swings.
Joey Bianco (Cincinnati, Ohio/Elder H.S.) handed out 29 assists while directing an offense that hit .391 on the night.
In the opening set, Lourdes hit .500 as a team and jumped in front 12-3 early.
Tomas Olak (Rowville, Australia/Mazenod College) closed the frame with three consecutive service aces.
The second set had 13 ties with the Saints fighting off a pair of set points and Lourdes fending off another before the Gray Wolves scored the final three points to take a 2-0 lead in the match.
In the third, the set was knotted at 13 when Lourdes scored the next six points to seize control on the way to closing out the sweep.
Daniel Rua led Siena Heights (11-12, 8-7 WHAC) with 12 kills.
Lourdes (15-8, 15-1) begins its final road trip of the regular season on Tuesday with a trip to Bethel (Ind.) looking to wrap up an outright Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference title. The first serve is set for 7 p.m. inside of the Goodman Center in Mishawaka, Ind.
