SYLVANIA, Ohio (LourdesAthletics.com) -- The Lourdes University's women's basketball team continued their winning ways on Saturday afternoon, earning their third consecutive victory with a 76-61 triumph over Lawrence Tech University inside the Russell J. Ebeid Recreation Center. The Gray Wolves improved to 14-6 overall and 9-4 in WHAC play, moving within one conference victory of matching the program record of 10 set by the 2023-24 team.
After trailing 15-9 following the first quarter, Lourdes erupted for a dominant second period, outscoring the Blue Devils 28-16 to take a 37-31 lead into the locker room. The Gray Wolves sustained their momentum in the second half, outscoring Lawrence Tech 39-30, including limiting the visitors to just 11 points in the final quarter.
Tamyah Worthy spearheaded the Gray Wolves' effort with a game-high 21 points, shooting 10-of-13 from the field, while adding seven rebounds and three steals. Emma Pedroza followed with 18 points, including a pair of three-pointers, and dished out a game-high six assists. Grace Ryan added 16 points, connecting on all six of her free throws, while grabbing eight rebounds. Nadeen Jemaa contributed 13 points, with three triples, and matched Worthy's seven boards.
Lourdes' defense forced 23 turnovers, converting them into 25 points, while dominating in the paint with a 36-14 scoring advantage. The Gray Wolves shot 43.8% from the field, holding Lawrence Tech to just 36.4% shooting overall.
