ADRIAN, Mich. – Lourdes University volleyball put together several strong stretches on the road Saturday afternoon but fell in straight sets to Siena Heights (25-15, 25-16, 25-14) in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference action inside the SHU Fieldhouse.
Sophomore
Aleya Baptiste led the Gray Wolves with five kills, while seniors
Jolie Sobb and
Rachel Allison each added four. Freshman
Teliya Cole hit .500 with one kill, two block assists, and a service ace. Freshman
Johanna Tester added four kills and three digs, and sophomore
Mia Karl recorded two assists and two block assists.
Setter
Rania Pavlidi directed the offense with 12 assists and five digs while adding a service ace. Senior
Emma Coffey anchored the back row with five digs. As a team, Lourdes tallied 19 kills and 26 digs while serving three aces and registering four total blocks.
Siena Heights hit .321 for the match behind 39 kills, while Lourdes finished at .092. The Gray Wolves remained competitive through the first two sets before the Saints pulled away late in each frame.
With the result, Lourdes moved to 5-11 overall and 1-9 in WHAC play.
