FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Lourdes University volleyball opened the second half of its WHAC schedule on Wednesday night, falling in straight sets to Indiana Tech (25-20, 25-16, 25-15) inside the Schaefer Center.
Sophomore
Mia Karl led the Gray Wolves' offense, finishing with six kills on 10 swings for a .500 hitting percentage. Freshman
Teliya Cole added four kills and hit .333 while contributing one service ace and a block assist. Senior
Rachel Allison also recorded four kills and an ace, while senior
Jolie Sobb and sophomore
Aleya Baptiste added three kills each.
Setter
Zoe Schuele paced the Lourdes offense with 16 assists and tallied 13 digs for a double-double. Senior
Arleena Willer anchored the back row with a team-high 16 digs, and senior
Emma Coffey added one.
As a team, Lourdes finished with 23 kills, 54 digs, and four aces. The Gray Wolves stayed within striking distance throughout the opening set and battled through long rallies before Indiana Tech pulled away late in each frame.
The loss moves Lourdes to 5-12 overall and 1-10 in WHAC play.
