SYLVANIA, Ohio — Lourdes University delivered a dominant wire-to-wire effort on Saturday, rolling past Michigan–Dearborn 103–59 to extend its winning streak and move to 9–1 overall and 5–1 in WHAC play. The Gray Wolves set a season high in scoring and controlled every statistical category in front of the home crowd at the Russell J. Ebeid Recreation Center.
Lourdes exploded out of the gate with 59 first-half points, shooting an incredible 61.3% from the field and 62.5% from three-point range, according to the team shooting summary on page 2. The Gray Wolves built a 35-point lead at the break and never looked back.
Sophomore guard
Derek Fairley turned in another strong two-way effort with 17 points, eight rebounds, four assists, and a block, shooting 5-of-10 from the floor and 5-of-5 at the free-throw line.
Freshman
Blake Robison had his best scoring performance of the season, pouring in 18 points on 7-of-12 shooting, including four made threes. Robison was electric during the first-half surge, scoring 15 before the break.
Senior Stephen Coleman continued his efficient stretch with 14 points, six rebounds, and three assists, while fellow senior
Adonus Abrams added five points, five rebounds, and four assists.
Freshman
J'Siah Jefferson stuffed the stat sheet with 12 points, eight rebounds, four assists, and five steals, providing relentless defensive pressure throughout. Lourdes finished with 11 steals as a team.
The Gray Wolves dominated the glass 53–38 and received 58 bench points, their highest total of the season.
Karter Koester added eight points, while
Cole Biedenharn chipped in six points and eight rebounds.
Michigan–Dearborn struggled from the perimeter, shooting just 3-of-30 from beyond the arc (10.0%) and 31.5% overall, as shown on the team summary on page 16.
With the win, Lourdes remains unbeaten at home and picks up another key conference victory.
The Gray Wolves are back in action Saturday, Dec. 13, when they host Aquinas College at 3 p.m. inside the Ebeid Recreation Center.
