SYLVANIA, Ohio (LourdesAthletics.com) -- The Lourdes University women's basketball team celebrated Senior Day in dominant fashion, rolling past Defiance College 88-56 on Saturday afternoon inside the Russell J. Ebeid Recreation Center. The Gray Wolves improved to 16-6 overall and 11-4 in the WHAC with the win.
Senior Nadeen Jemaa had a historic performance, setting a Lourdes program record with nine three-pointers en route to a game-high 29 points. Jemaa was electric from beyond the arc, shooting 9-of-20 while also grabbing seven rebounds.
Lourdes took control early, leading 15-12 after the first quarter before extending their advantage to 33-26 at halftime. The Gray Wolves erupted in the second half, outscoring the Yellow Jackets 55-30 over the final two quarters, including a 31-point explosion in the fourth quarter to seal the win.
Emma Pedroza had an all-around effort with 14 points, 13 rebounds, and nine assists, just missing a triple-double. Macie Stringfellow added 13 points and nine rebounds on an efficient 6-of-7 shooting. Grace Ryan contributed 11 points off the bench, while Alex Wolfe chipped in eight points and five rebounds.
Lourdes dominated the glass, out-rebounding Defiance 43-33, and forced 13 turnovers, converting them into 24 points. The Gray Wolves shot 47.3% from the field while holding Defiance to 34.9%.

Lourdes will look to continue its strong play when they return to WHAC action on Wednesday, facing off against a conference foe, Rochester Christian at home. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m.
