RICHMOND, Ind. (LourdesAthletics.com) – The Lourdes University men's volleyball team snapped its brief break from conference play with a dominant 25-15, 25-23, 23-25, 25-10 victory over Indiana University East on Wednesday, March 12.
The Gray Wolves (7-7) were efficient on offense, hitting .339 as a team and tallying 55 kills while limiting Indiana East (2-12) to a .173 attack percentage. Lourdes' offense was led by Jaber Badarne, who posted a match-high 15 kills, while Vinicius Lopez added 14 and Felipe Tramontin contributed 11.
Lourdes set the tone early, hitting .500 in the first set and carrying that momentum into the second, holding off a late push from Indiana East to take a 2-0 lead in sets. Despite a tight third set, the Gray Wolves regained control in the fourth, hitting a scorching .609 to secure the win.
Joey Bianco facilitated the offense with 25 assists, while Evaristo Lopez Valeros added 10. Lourdes' defense was anchored by Brayden Moyars, who posted 11 digs, and Ben Palma, who led the team with four blocks.
The Gray Wolves were also strong behind the service line, recording eight aces in the match. Badarne led the team with two aces, while Jack McMurray added one.

Lourdes will return to Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play, hosting Indiana Tech on Friday, March 21. The match will take place at the Russell J. Ebeid Recreation Center in Sylvania, Ohio, with first serve set for 7 p.m.
