SYLVANIA, Ohio (LourdesAthletics.com) --Â The Lourdes University men's volleyball team continued its strong run in WHAC play on Friday night, delivering a decisive 25-20, 25-11, 25-18 sweep over Indiana Tech University inside the Russell J. Ebeid Recreation Center. The Gray Wolves have now won three consecutive matches, improving to 8-7 overall and 5-4 in conference action.
Jaber Badarne fueled the offense with a dominant 17-kill performance, hitting .469 while also adding four service aces. Vinicius Lopez tallied 10 kills and completed a double-double with 10 digs, while Felipe Tramontin chipped in eight kills on a .467 hitting percentage. Lourdes was efficient throughout the match, hitting .340 as a team, highlighted by a blistering .625 mark in the second set.
Setter Joey Bianco guided the offense with 30 assists while contributing two blocks defensively. Brayden Moyars led all players with 11 digs, while the Gray Wolves held a 44-35 edge in digs and a 7-1 advantage in service aces.
Lourdes set the tone early, taking the opening set with a steady attack before overwhelming Indiana Tech in the second, committing no attack errors while limiting the Warriors to just 11 points. The Gray Wolves maintained control in the third, using a late push to close out the sweep in front of their home crowd.
