SYLVANIA, Ohio. (LourdesAthletics.com) – The Lourdes University men's volleyball team earned a dominant 3-0 victory over Mount Vernon Nazarene University on Saturday afternoon at the Russell J. Ebeid Recreation Center. The Gray Wolves controlled the match from start to finish, defeating Mount Vernon Nazarene 25-10, 25-14, 25-18 in three sets.
The win showcased a well-rounded performance from Lourdes, with multiple players contributing to the team's offensive and defensive efforts. 
Vinicius Lopez led the attack with 9 kills, while 
Jaber Badarne and 
Felipe Tramontin each contributed 5 kills. 
Joey Bianco continued his strong playmaking with 21 assists, helping the Gray Wolves to a .209 team hitting percentage.
On defense, Lourdes stifled Mount Vernon Nazarene's attack, limiting them to a -.023 hitting percentage. The Gray Wolves' defense held strong throughout the match, with 
Brayden Moyars anchoring the back row and recording 15 digs, while 
Trace Bauersfeld added 2 blocks at the net.
Lourdes' serving was also effective, with 
Badarne adding 4 service aces. The team's ability to apply pressure through both serving and blocking contributed to a well-deserved victory.

Lourdes will look to build on this dominant performance as they travel to Southfield, Mich. to face Lawrence Tech University on March 25th. First serve is set for 7 p.m. on Wednesday evening.
