ANN ARBOR, Mich. (LourdesAthletics.com) – The Lourdes University baseball team dropped a road doubleheader against Concordia University on Saturday afternoon, falling 9-1 in the first meeting, and dropping the second with a 16-2 decision at Cardinal Field.

Lourdes (2-16) struggled to generate offense against Concordia (16-5), as the Cardinals used a pair of multi-run innings to take control of the game.
Concordia broke through in the second inning with a two-run double and an RBI single to take a 3-0 lead. The Cardinals extended their advantage in the third with a two-run homer.
Lourdes managed to get on the board in the sixth when A.J. Brinson led off with a double and later scored on an RBI double from Andrew Arntson. However, Concordia responded in the bottom of the frame, launching a solo home run before adding the second homer of the game, a three-run shot, to cap off the scoring.
Caleb Loboschefski (0-3) took the loss for Lourdes, allowing five runs on seven hits over five innings, striking out four. Logan Moss pitched one inning in relief, giving up four runs on four hits.
Brinson and Arntson each tallied two hits to lead Lourdes, with both recording a double. Joel Suraganan added a hit and a walk, while the Gray Wolves were held to six total hits in the contest.
L. Morris (2-0) earned the win for Concordia, throwing five innings while allowing one run on six hits and striking out three. B. Weaver pitched two perfect innings in relief to secure the victory.

Lourdes (2-17) struggled early as Concordia (17-5) put together a big second inning to build a commanding 12-0 lead.
The Cardinals jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead in the first inning with a two-run homer. The second inning was even more damaging, as Concordia scored 10 runs, including a four-RBI shot, and a two-run single.
Lourdes managed to get on the board in the third inning when Zane Mullins hit a solo home run to left field, cutting the deficit to 12-1. The Gray Wolves added another run in the fourth, as Andrew Arntson singled to third base, bringing home Jase Kennedy, who reached on an error. However, the Cardinals continued to dominate, adding four more runs over the next two innings to seal the 16-2 victory.
Ayden Hall (0-1) took the loss for Lourdes, allowing nine earned runs on seven hits in just 1.1 innings. Nathan Frontine and Will Brose each pitched in relief, with Brose tossing two scoreless innings.
Mullins' home run was the highlight for Lourdes, while A.J. Brinson went 3-for-3 to lead the team in hits. Arntson added a hit and an RBI.
