GOSHEN, Ind. (LourdesAthletics.com) -- The Lourdes University men's volleyball team put together an efficient offensive performance on Friday night, sweeping Goshen College 25-18, 25-23, 25-14 inside Ruth Gunden Gymnasium. The Gray Wolves hit .418 as a team, committing just 10 errors on 79 total swings while holding the Maple Leafs to a .203 hitting percentage.

Jaber Badarne led the Lourdes attack with 16 kills, hitting at a .520 clip, while Felipe Tramontin added nine kills. Ben Palma contributed six kills of his own and was a force at the net defensively with two blocks. Setter Joey Bianco orchestrated the offense with 30 assists and chipped in five digs.

The Gray Wolves were in control throughout the match, opening with a dominant first set in which they hit .500 as a team. The second set was more competitive, but Lourdes maintained composure late to secure a 2-0 lead. The Gray Wolves then closed out the match decisively in the third, limiting Goshen to just seven kills while hitting .444 to seal the sweep.

Defensively, Vinicius Lopes paced Lourdes with 10 digs, while Brayden Moyars added eight. The Gray Wolves also held a 4-2 edge in service aces, with Jack McMurray tallying three from the service line.

With the win, Lourdes improves to 10-8 overall and 7-5 in WHAC play.
