ADRIAN, Mich.(LourdesAthletics.com) – The Lourdes University men's volleyball team continued its strong late-season push on Tuesday evening, sweeping Siena Heights University in straight sets 25-21, 25-15, 25-17 inside the SHU Fieldhouse. The Gray Wolves have now won three consecutive league matches and improve to 13-9 overall and 9-5 in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play.
The Gray Wolves hit an impressive .410 as a team, committing just 10 attack errors across three sets while racking up 42 kills. Jaber Badarne led the charge offensively and defensively, finishing with 14 kills on a .650 hitting percentage while also tallying five blocks and three aces.
Mitch Hoffman and Felipe Tramontin each added eight kills, with Hoffman notching three blocks and three aces of his own. Joey Bianco orchestrated the offense with 34 assists and added a pair of digs. Defensively, Brayden Moyars collected a match-high 12 digs, while Vinicius Lopes chipped in seven.
Lourdes controlled the tempo from the opening set, hitting .360 in the first frame before improving to .409 and .452 in sets two and three, respectively. The Gray Wolves also held a 7-3 edge in service aces and a 7-5 advantage in total blocks.
