The Lourdes University Gray Wolves opened their season at Home, playing host to Huntington University on Wednesday afternoon. The Gray Wolves struck first with a goal at 19:16 by Jannik Hofmann, his 2^nd goal of the season. Jack Pelton provided the assist to give Lourdes a 1-0 lead until the 33^rd minute of the 1^st half. Huntington's Thiago Fernando knotted it up with an unassisted goal against Sophomore Goalie Ben Goddard. when Huntington tied it up with an unassisted goal from Thiago Fernando.

Both teams played evenly matched soccer through the 2^nd half as well, with the score remaining tied through the 77^th minute of action when Jannik Hofmann found the net again on a break away with an assist from Felipe da Silva to give the Gray Wolves a 2-1 advantage. Just minutes later, Lourdes Forward Martin Coronel snuck one past the Huntington goalie from 20 yards out. Jannik Hofmann contributed the assist, extending the Wolves lead to 3-1.
The Gray Wolves maintained control the rest of the way, logging their first W of the season. They are back at home on Saturday, August 30th to host Indiana University Northeast. The match kicks off at 4pm.
