SYLVANIA, Ohio (LourdesAthletics.com)  – Lourdes University has been named a 2024-25 NAIA Champions of Charcter of Five-Star Gold Institution, recognizing the department's commitment to character, sportsmanship, and academic excellence.

Lourdes was one of nine Wolverine-Hoosier Athetic Conference schools to receive Gold status, joining Aquinas College, Cleary University, Cornerstone University, Defiance College, Indiana Tech University, Lawrence Tech University, Rochester Christian University, and Siena Heights University. Madonna University and UM-Dearborn earned Silver.

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference was also named a Five Star Conference, one of 21 nationally to meet the NAIA's standards for Champions of Character excellence.

Institutions are evaluated on character training, academic focus, competitive conduct, and student-athlete recognition throughout the year.
