Lourdes University opened Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play on Wednesday night but came up short in a three-set loss to Northwestern Ohio (25-16, 25-18, 25-14).

With the loss, Lourdes moves to 4-2 on the season and 0-1 in WHAC play. The Gray Wolves return home Friday to host Defiance inside the Russell J. Ebeid Recreation Center.
