Lourdes University volleyball put together stretches of strong play on Saturday afternoon but fell in three sets to league-leading Aquinas (25-18, 25-18, 25-15) inside the Russell J. Ebeid Recreation Center.
Senior
Jolie Sobb paced the Gray Wolves with 12 kills while adding 13 digs for her second double-double of the week. Sophomore
Aleya Baptiste contributed nine kills and eight digs, while senior
Rachel Allison chipped in four kills and nine digs.
Freshman
Teliya Cole provided a spark with two kills and a pair of service aces, and freshman
Johanna Tester added two kills and a block assist. Sophomore setter
Zoe Schuele handed out 23 assists and collected eight digs, while senior libero
Emma Coffey anchored the back row with a team-high 17 digs.
As a team, Lourdes finished with 29 kills and 59 digs while serving up two aces. The Gray Wolves played Aquinas close through the early stages of the first two sets before the Saints pulled away late.
With the result, Lourdes moves to 4-10 on the season and 0-8 in WHAC play.
