SYLVANIA, Ohio – Men's Volleyball's
Jaber Badarne and
Joey Bianco have each won WHAC weekly awards, the conference announced on Monday afternoon.
The senior duo have combined for exactly 300 kills and 45 service aces on the season. They also each have over a .300 attack percentage.
Badarne has won his third consecutive WHAC Attacker of the Week award and fourth of the season. He now has double the amount of Attacker of the Week awards as the next closest person in the conference.
Badarne leads the team with 249 kills (1
st in WHAC, 19
th in NAIA), 4.88 kills per set (1
st in WHAC, 2
nd in NAIA), and 28 service aces (4
th in WHAC, 15
th in NAIA).
Bianco won the WHAC Setter of the Week award for the first time this season after pummeling 106 set assists in the three sweeps last week. He averaged 11.8 assists per set over the course of the week and has got over 30 assists in six of the last 11 matches.
Bianco leads the team with 613 set assists and 9.29 assists per set. He ranks 11
th in the NAIA and 2
nd in the WHAC in total assists. He also ranks 13
th in the NAIA and 4
th in the WHAC in assists per set.
Bianco and Badarne will look to lead Lourdes to their fifth straight sweep tonight against Defiance. Men's Volleyball would improve to 19-3 overall, 13-1 in the conference, and extend their winning streak to seven matches with a victory over the Yellow Jackets.
