The Lourdes University men's basketball team was on the road this weekend in Columbus, OH participating in the Red Roof Inn Roundball Classic. Friday night was a heart breaker for the Gray Wolves as they came up short against NCAA DII opponent Ohio Dominican University 57-51.
 
The Gray Wolves bounced back nicely on Saturday though as they became the first team in Lourdes history to defeat an NCAA DII team in Ashland University 63-54.
 
John Washington would once again lead the scoring attack in the game as he had a team high 15 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists. John Brown would finish with 10 points and 5 rebounds in the victory.
 
“It was a great team effort on the defensive end of the floor. The team played really hard and stuck together against a really good DII Ashland team” said Head Coach Andre Smith after the victory.
 
John Willhite was selected to the All-Tournament team.
 
Next up for the Gray Wolves will be at Aquinas College on November 30^th.
