The Lourdes University Gray Wolves Men's Basketball team hit the road to open up Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play against Aquinas College in Grand Rapid, Mich. on Wednesday night. The Gray Wolves fell 86-56.
The Gray Wolves played the entire bench as they searched for a rhythm on a tough night of shooting. The Gray Wolves finished the game shooting 41% from the floor and 33% from beyond the arc. Aquinas would finish the night shooting 55% from the floor and 47% from three point land.
John Washington led the Gray Wolves in scoring with 12 points. Nine players would score for Lourdes with
Remy Fleurima and Charles Turnbo each chipping in with nine points. The Gray Wolves were out rebounded in the game 40-23.
With the loss the Gray Wolves drop to 4-5 overall and 0-1 in conference.
Next up for the Gray Wolves is their first home game of the season this Saturday at the Sylvania Tam-O-Shanter with JV playing at 1pm and Varsity at 3pm against Siena Heights University. There will be a tailgating party taking place inside the Tam-O at approximately 1:45pm.
