The Lourdes University Women's Basketball team was on the road on Wednesday night in Dearborn , MI. taking on the Crusaders of Madonna University. The Gray Wolves would fall 78-49.
The Gray Wolves would have a rough first half as they trailed at the halftime break 40-21.
Tarynn Hampton would be the leading scorer for the Gray Wolves with seven points and
Emily Orsini had six. For the Crusaders they were led by Michelle Lindsey's 11 points.
The Gray Wolves shot just 30% from the floor on 6 of 20 shooting. The hardest part for the Gray Wolves was committing 20 turnovers in the half that led to the Crusaders 21 point lead.
The second half would only be slightly better as the Gray Wolves would give up 37 points while scoring 29.
Tarynn Hampton would drop 13 points in the second half to lead the team with 20 points for the game. Hampton also would grab nine rebounds in the game just missing out on a double-double.
Emily Orsini would score 13 points and grab six boards.
The Crusaders would finish with two players in double figures including 16 points by Becca Wojcinski and Michelle Lindsey with 11.
The Gray Wolves fall to 5-13 overall and 0-8 in WHAC play.
The next game for the Gray Wolves will be Saturday in the Sylvania Tam-O-Shanter against UM-Dearborn at 1pm. The home doubleheader will be the first of the season with the men playing at 3pm.
