Gray Wolves Hold On Versus UM Dearborn

The Lourdes University Men's Basketball team hosted WHAC opponent UM-Dearborn on Saturday afternoon at the Sylvania Tam-O-Shanter. The Gray Wolves would be victorious 70-67.

The first half was methodically paced throughout the half as the score would be tied at 31 apiece. Each team committed five turnovers while the Gray Wolves shot 34% on 10 of 29 from the field. The Wolves shot 39% on 12 of 31.

The Gray Wolves were paced by nine points from Marcus Outlaw and seven points from Corey Harvey. The Wolves were paced by nine points from Julius Porter and six points from Doug Sharples.

The Gray Wolves were outrebounded 21 to 19 in the half.

The second half would be a battle all the way through as the Gray Wolves would amass an eight point lead only to see it dwindle away to four points on five different occasions. The Gray Wolves would lead 67-63 with just under two minutes to play in regulation.

The Gray Wolves would hang on in the end 70-67. Lourdes would shoot 44% for the game on 25 of 56 from the floor.  UM Dearborn would shoot 47% on 24 of 51 shots.

Three Lourdes players finished in double figures with John Willhite scoring 26 points, Marcus Outlaw with 11 and Remy Fleurima with 10 points.

UM Dearborn was paced by two players in double figures with Julius Porter 17 points and Jeff Fick with 11 points.
