The Lourdes University women's basketball team hosted the Racers of UNOH on Wednesday night at the Sylvania Tam-O-Shanter. Lourdes would drop the game to the Racers by a final of 83-48.
The first half did not start exactly the way that Coach Zareth Gray had hoped for from Lourdes women's team as they fell behind early 12-3 in the first few minutes. But after a fiery filled timeout Lourdes was able to crack down the defensive play and thanks to a couple of big
Lauren Tilden three pointers the Gray Wolves were back in the game. The Gray Wolves would fight hard but would trail by 13 at the break 37-24.
Lauren Tilden would lead the Gray Wolves with 12 points at the break for Lourdes.

Tarynn Hampton each had four points for the Gray Wolves Amanda Francis would lead the Racers with 12 points followed by eight points from Karrah Windau and five points from Amanda Henry.
The Racers would lead the Gray Wolves in rebounds with 23 to 19. The Racers would shoot 38% to Lourdes 32%. Lourdes would commit 22 turnovers compared to UNOH 16.
The second half was all Racers as they pressured on defense and caused multiple Lourdes turnovers and tough shooting. The Gray Wolves would struggle to find any kind of offensive rhythm and the speed of the Racers fast breaks led to multiple fast break points. The Gray Wolves would shoot just 24% in the second half while the Racers would shoot 59%.
The Gray Wolves would finish with two players in double figures with
Lauren Tilden 21 points including 5 of 6 from the free throw line.
Tarynn Hampton had 13 points in the game.
