The Lourdes University Gray Wolves men's basketball team traveled to Adrian, MI on Wednesday night to take on the Saints of Siena Heights University. The Gray Wolves were looking for their 13 win of the season and did just that winning 79-66.
The Gray Wolves trailed by 14 points at the break before a raucous halftime speech inspired the Gray Wolves defensively in the
second half to put the clamps down and come up with the victory.
Four Lourdes players would score in double figures for the Gray Wolves. Lourdes was led by
John Willhite with 19 points in the game,
Corey Harvey with 16 and two players with 10 points in
Remy Fleurima and
Marcus Outlaw.
Siena Heights would shoot a slightly better percentage than the Gray Wolves at 48% to 47%. The Gray Wolves would out score the Saints in the second half though 52 to 25. Lourdes would out rebound the Saints 33-28 and commit six less turnovers in the second half 16 to 10.
