Lourdes trailed by just two at intermission on Saturday afternoon, but a 25-6 run midway through the second half pushed Indiana Tech past the Gray Wolves 101-86 at the Merillat Center on the campus of Adrian College in Adrian, Mich.

Zareth Gray said after the contest. “We're playing not to lose instead of playing to win.”
All 11 players that dressed for Lourdes scored in the contest, but the Warriors shot 58% from the floor for the game on the way to the victory.
Both teams started out shooting the basketball well as Indiana Tech connected on 58.8% from the floor in the opening 20 minutes while Lourdes shot 50%, including 7-of-13 (53.8%) from three-point range in the first half.
The Warriors made their first six shots of the game while building an early 13-8 advantage over Lourdes just three minutes into the contest. Indiana Tech's hot shooting continued as it made 9-of-11 overall, extending the lead to seven.
Lourdes stayed in the game from long range, making four of its first six shots from beyond the arc.
Ty Ali (Chicago, Ill./Rich South H.S.) put the Gray Wolves on top with 6:03 to play before break, scoring on a spin move inside. The lead would go back and forth for several minutes before a 6-0 run by Indiana Tech put the Warriors back on top 44-39 with just over a minute to play before intermission.
Tarynn Hampton (Saint Louis, Mo./Alton H.S.) cut the deficit to two, 47-45, at the break, banking in a triple try from the right corner that went off of the high glass.
Lauren Tilden (Ravenna, Ohio/Ravenna H.S.) drained a three to open the second half giving the Gray Wolves their last lead of the game but it was all Indiana Tech after that point. A
Courtney Slepko (Cleveland, Ohio/Normandy H.S.) three with 14:42 to play made it a two-point game, 58-56, before the Warriors went on their run.
A 25-6 spurt by Indiana Tech put the Warriors up 83-64, and Lourdes would not get closer than 15 points the rest of the way.
Hampton led Lourdes with 22 points, making 8-of-11 shots from the floor while pulling down eight rebounds. Ali added 14 points and five assists while Tilden connected on four threes to finish with 13 points.
The Gray Wolves shot just 38.9% from the floor in the second half to finish at 44.3% for the game, but made 13-of-28 three-pointers (46.4%).
Rachael Kruse led Indiana Tech (3-9, 3-4 WHAC) with 31 points while Ylyssia Richmond added 23 points. Chelsea Carradine tallied 15 points while Kaneisha Bass chipped in 12 as four Warriors finished in double figures. Rayana Villalpando added 10 rebounds and seven assists.
Lourdes (3-10, 1-6) will step out of conference action on Wednesday evening, traveling to Auburn Hills, Mich. to face Rochester. Tip-off is slated for 7:30 p.m. at Oakland Christian School.
