Alex Davis (Cleveland, Ohio/Nordonia H.S.) earned All-Tournament Team honors, posting13 points on Saturday afternoon as Lourdes defeated Robert Morris (Ill.) 59-54 in the fifth place game of the Saint Xavier Midwest Tournament held at The Shannon Center in Chicago, Ill.
 
In a game which had three ties but 10 lead changes, the Gray Wolves forced 17 Eagle turnovers and held Robert Morris to just 31.5% shooting from the floor.
 
An early 8-0 run by the Lourdes put the Gray Wolves on top 12-7 less than eight minutes into the contest.  Robert Morris battled back to tie the game at 15 before five straight points by Lourdes pushed the lead back to five, 20-15, after an Enique Mason (Indianapolis, Ind./Fishburne H.S.) layup.  The Gray Wolves would remain on top the rest of the half, taking a 32-28 lead into the locker room.
 
Leading 38-31 with 15:53 to play in the game, Lourdes was held scoreless for the next eight minutes as the Eagles scored 11 unanswered points to take a four-point lead with under eight minutes to play.  The game then went back and forth for the next six minutes, with Robert Morris still holding a two-point lead heading into the final two minutes.
 
Lourdes went on a 10-0 run to take control, as Corey Harvey (Hilliard, Ohio/Davidson H.S.) scored five points during the sport which gave the Gray Wolves a 59-51 advantage with under 20 seconds remaining.  Lourdes held on for the win to close the non-conference portion of its schedule.
 
Harvey added 10 points on top of Davis' 13, while Elvin Butler (Akron, East H.S.) added nine points.  Lourdes shot 44.2% from the field for the game and outrebounded the Eagles 37-33.
 
Anthony Shoemaker led all scorers with 16 points for Robert Morris (6-9) while Sean Montgomery added 10 points.
 
Lourdes (9-5) will take nearly two weeks off for Christmas and New Year's before returning to the hardwood on Jan. 3, 2013 as the Gray Wolves travel to Adrian, Mich. to battle Siena Heights.  Tip-off is slated for 8 p.m.
