On Saturday afternoon the Lourdes University women's basketball team hosted the #1 ranked National Davenport University Panthers at the Sylvania Tam-O-Shanter. The Gray Wolves fell to Davenport 91-43.
 
The first half would start out great for Lourdes holding the Panthers scoreless for nearly the first two minutes while holding a 2-0 advantage. That would be about it though for the Gray Wolves as the pressure of the Panther defense would start to take over and create turnovers and transition buckets to push their advantage to a halftime lead of 48-17.
 
The Gray Wolves would be led at halftime in scoring by Lauren Tilden's six points courtesy of two three point baskets. For the Panthers they would be led by Abbey Hengesbach with eight points.
 
Lourdes would have a shooting percentage of 32% and Panthers with 55%.
 
The Gray Wolves would play hard in the second half but still come up empty in the win column as they would lose the game 91-43.
 
The Gray Wolves fall to 4-21 overall and 0-14 in WHAC play.
 
Next up for the Gray Wolves is Wilberforce University on Monday at the Sylvania Tam-O-Shanter at 3pm.
