Day 1 Results

Lourdes women's golf team finished the opening day of the second Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference jamboree in sixth place after shooting 359 at Salem Hills Golf Club in Northville, Mich. 
 
Madonna holds the 18-hole lead after firing 326, one shot better than Aquinas.
 
Brooke Darah (Sylvania, Ohio/Northview H.S.) led the Gray Wolves with an 81 over the 5,864-yard, par-72 course, and is tied for fourth individually.  She is only two strokes behind Indiana Tech's Megan Garrison on the individual leaderboard.
 
Heather Steiner (Tiffin, Ohio/Calvert H.S.) added an 88 for Lourdes on day one of play while Kallie Breyfogle (Holland, Ohio/Southview H.S.) carded a 94.  Roberta Craider (Brecksville, Ohio/Padua Franciscan H.S.) posted a 96 for the Gray Wolves to round out the scoring while Lindsay Lehman (Bowling Green, Ohio/Otsego H.S.) and Haley Steiner (Tiffin, Ohio/Calvert H.S.) each shot an opening round 106.
 
Lourdes will return to action on Saturday for the final round of action in the tournament.  Play will begin at 10 a.m. at Gateway Golf Club in Romulus, Mich.
