Behind top-10 individual finishes from juniors
Claire Recker and senior
Shauna White, Lourdes University women's golf earned a fifth-place team finish Friday at the Cleary Invitational, contested at Chemung Hills Golf Club.
Recker paced the Gray Wolves with an 85, placing fourth overall in the 49-player field. White followed closely with an 88, good for ninth place on the leaderboard. Both delivered steady rounds that helped Lourdes post a team total of 379 (+91) on the par-72 course.
Freshman
Kenzie Richardson added a 102, while fellow newcomers
Addison Bozynski (104) and
Allison Knicely (106) rounded out the Gray Wolves' scoring lineup.
Aquinas (361) captured the team title, edging Cleary (364) and Cornerstone (373) in a close race at the top. Lourdes' fifth-place standing positioned them ahead of Mott, Defiance, St. Clair County CC, Michigan-Dearborn, and Rochester.
